Hi friends!
After a lot of hard work, I can proudly announce that my biggest project, that is publishing a comic of my SMB AU, is finally becoming REALITY!
I've created this AU a whopping 5 years ago, but because of my shyness I've never shown it to anyone until now. I already made comics of this AU, but they were predominantly light-hearted, slice-of-life stories.
I often tried talking about more serious topics in my comics, but because of my immaturity I didn't do it so well: nonetheless, I think it was a pretty good exercise for learning how to write dark stories, together with consuming darker media which, I think, has been the greatest help for me to expand my worldview and write better stories.
I did all of this to prepare to the day I would write the darkest story I'd ever write, where my characters would stop goofing around and live great adventures fighting gods, kings and villains, living as outcasts experiencing everyday deep sorrows, and eventually bid farewell to eachother.
When I first wrote the very first draft of the origin story you're about to read, back in summer of 2023, and chose to write the final draft in the first half of 2026, I couldn't imagine how fast time would have flown!
After literal YEARS of writing drafts, creating and discarding new characters, changing major plot points and hiding my talents because of shyness, here are the chapters of my comic Super Mario Buddiez: A New Beginning!

Ludwig and Wendy
Being autistic, I tend to misunderstand things. When I discovered the Koopalings back when I was 8 or 9, I thought they weren't considered siblings anymore, and because Ludwig was blue and Wendy was pink, I thought they were lovers: I was also influenced by proship fanarts I watched back then. which I believed were made by people who didn't belive the Koopalings were siblings.
When I discovered that the Koopalings were still siblings and what proship was, I thought it was too late to do anything because I already made them marry, so I decided to keep shipping them only in my AU where they aren't siblings, and then stop. Also, I will never romaticize them or draw fanarts of them: their relationship will be a very important part of this comic, but it will be potrayed as very toxic.
I will list for every comic whether if Ludwig and Wendy's relationship is an important part of the story.
